We use a systematic process to help ensure that our clients achieve everything that is important to them. This process helps us stay accountable and deliver the same high-quality experience to each and every client. Below, then, is a visual illustration of the step-by-step process that we take all new potential clients through. This process was developed to meet the needs of succesfull individuals with over $1 million of investable assets.
The Discovery Meeting takes place at our office and typically lasts about 90 minutes. This meeting is highly structured to allow us to get to know you as a perso—or you and your spouse as a couple—and all of the things that are important to you. The purpose of this meeting, then, is to identify where you are today, where you want to get to, and what the gaps are in-between, and ultimately to determine if there is a basis for moving forward with us.
Investment Plan Meeting
The Investment Plan meeting is held next because it addresses the number one concern of many of our clients. At this meeting we will present you with a written investment plan that describes where you are currently, where you want to go, and what the gaps are. We then use this information to provide reccomendations and solutions towards achieving those goals. This plan will serve as the road map that will enhance the probability of achieving everything that is important in your financial life. An investment plan will typically include these six important components:
- Long term needs, objectives and values
- Definition of an acceptable level of risk
- Time horizon expectations
- Rate of return objectives
- Invement methodology
- Implementation strategy
Mutual Commitment Meeting
The Mutual Committment Meeting is conceived of as a time for you to ask questions and voice concerns about your proposed investment plan as well as anything else that you are curious about or that troubles you. Chances are that if you have made it this—and you have liked what you have seen and experienced—you will probably become a client of our firm. This meeting is designed to explore the mutual commitment between you and our firm, a commitment that will help you achieve everything that is most important to you and your family. At this meeting we will ask you to execute all of the documents necessary to implement your personalized investment plan.
45 Day Follow-Up Meeting
The amount of paperwork that is generated when opening new accounts and transferring old accounts typically leaves people feeling overwhelmed following the implementation of the investment plan. We ask all of our clients to save the investment-related paperwork they have been receiving and bring it to this meeting, where we help organize the paperwork, make necessary copies, and do anything else that is necessary to keep your investment plan on track.
Regular Progress Meeting
These meetings are held on a regular basis, accordoing to your preferences, and address new issues that may arise in your personal or professional life. We will review your portfolio's performance relative to achieving your long term goals, and we will begin the process of looking at the vairous Advanced Plan areas and coordinating efforts with your other professional advisors.
